By using or accessing egida.us (our Site) or any of our websites you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this privacy policy. You acknowledge that you are 16 years of age or older, or possess legal parental or guardian consent. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not provide us with your PI. Your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue use of the website.
- Egida Internatinal LLC. (Egida) is committed to keeping and respecting your right to privacy.
- We do not sell or rent your Personal Information (PI) under any circumstances.
- Your information can only be accessed by authorized personnel.
- We monitor external data threats and act quickly and transparently to protect your privacy.
- We retain your PI only as long as it is required. When your PI is no longer required it will be securely destroyed.
- We only share information with third parties for the purposes of executing the service you requested (examples below) or as required by law.
WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION, PERSONAL IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION AND SENSITIVE INFORMATION?
Personal Information (PI) consists of both Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and Sensitive Information (SI).
PII is personal data that can be used on its own or in combination with other information, to identify, contact or locate a single person. Examples include your name, address & phone numbers. It does not include anonymized or statistical data that by itself does not allow identification of you as an individual.
SI may include information about your health and medical history.
CUSTOMER SERVICE & REQUESTING INFORMATION THROUGH ONLINE FORMS:
To assist you, we usually need to ask you for some PI, such as your name, contact details, and other information related to the student-participant and this will be stored in our secure database which uses standard encryption technology. Such PI is required to respond to your inquiry and to keep a record of our interaction. Other information may be related to a child’s current school and past programs attended. This is helpful as we work to create the best possible summer experience for you.
Our online forms allow our website visitors to seek more information about our programs and/or to subscribe to our email list. Examples of forms include: Contact Us, Register Now, Register for Camp, Inquire here and Book appointment. We ask for basic information to fulfill your request, to recommend appropriate programs. Any PI that you share with us via a form on our website is securely encrypted via secure server software (“SSL”).
For our Email Itinerary Form, there is an option to email information to a friend. For those requests, we only email the friend the requested information and give them the option to subscribe to subsequent marketing emails and agree to this privacy policy.
We try to not send marketing emails more than once per trimester unless there is a timely message that we share with you (example: special offer announcements). Emails that may be personally sent to you from a member of our enrollment team that responds directly to your question or request are not considered to be a marketing email. Emails to confirm your enrollment or follow up with forms that you need to complete in order to participate are considered to be transactional emails rather than marketing emails.
Although we do business internationally our internal data storage systems are currently based in North America. As a result, your PI will be processed in North America where data protection and privacy regulations may differ from other parts of the world, such as the European Union. If you share any PI with us, you agree to this Privacy Policy and consent to the transfer of your PI to the United States and/ or Canada.
SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH YOUR PERMISSION, TO NECESSARY SERVICES OR AS REQUIRED BY LAW:
By filling out forms and agreeing to our privacy policy, you give us permission to share your PI as follows:
- To third party companies to help us deliver the service that you request. Examples include an adventure activity outfitter release form that includes medical information you provided. Due to the nature of our travel business, these companies may be located in another country outside of your own.
- To other companies with trusted businesses or persons to process it for us, based on our instructions and in compliance with Data Protection Legislation, our Privacy Policy and additional confidentiality and security measures. If you require a list of our third-party data processors, please contact our Data Protection Officer at info@egida.us
- To government authorities, agencies and institutions, but ONLY as required or allowed by applicable regulations.
- When you are ready to enroll, you might be directed to our partner website to fill in an enrollment form for your child or you will be given our partner enrolment form to be filled by us. We will ask for your Personal Information, the program member’s information, the program you wish to join, credit card Information (Card Company, Number, Expiry Date) or check/bank account details to help you process your payment.
