Andalusia, Spain

The region of Andalusia is the heart of Spanish culture – full of flamenco, fiestas, bullfighting, and raw passion. The homeland of many famous artists, writers, poets, actors, and painters, Andalusia continues to inspire all who visit through the sounds of guitar and the paintings of Velazquez and Picasso.

Embedded within Andalusia, the city of Sotogrande is a luxurious urban center. Considered one of the most scenic parts of the Costa del Sol coastline, it features lush vegetation, a picturesque marina, and an attractive coast of the Mediterranean Sea. Nature in this part of Andalusia is astonishing, with twenty-seven hectares of natural area and a series of pathways and preserves to enjoy flora and fauna.

About Camp

For over forty years, Sotogrande International School has provided an educational environment that inspires students and adults alike. When you step onto the campus, you’ll feel the spirit of learning, community, fun, and energy that permeates the air.

The school and summer camp are situated in a beautiful residential area of Andalusia, with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding countryside.

The camp provides extraordinary educational experiences and opportunities for all students through exploring their gifts and talents, engaging in new activities, and learning in a fun and dynamic way. Egida offers two camps in Andalusia, the Masters Camp and the Tennis Camp.

1. Masters Camp

The Masters Camp is more than a Camp – it is a lifestyle and experience that both enriches and enhances students’ academic and physical education. In addition to study of the Spanish language, every student will choose activities he or she may want to pursue. The activities offered are:

  • Sailing
  • Kite Surfing
  • Tennis
  • Horse Riding
  • Golf

Amazing facilities, amenities and a staff of trained specialists will help each student fulfill their potential. Highly qualified coaches offer the choice of several sports in the mornings.

In the Intensive Language courses, campers will learn the Spanish language in the afternoons from native-speaking teachers. Language lessons are given Monday to Friday (with the exception of Wednesdays) in a classroom setting, with a maximum of 12 students of the same age and level per class (average class size is seven students).

2. Tennis camp

The aim of the Tennis camp is to provide students with the experience of a full-time SotoTennis Academy (STA) player, with a highly individualized program and support. The Tennis Camp combines the professional training instruction from STA with the fun and care of the Camp at Sotogrande. This unique combination makes the Camp more than just a game of tennis – it is a vehicle to success on and off the court, no matter the player’s individual pathway.

City Tour and After-School Activities

Evenings in both camps are spent relaxing and taking part in enjoyable activities. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, students have fun excursions.
