Each summer, motivated students from across the globe join the Oxford Royale Summer Schools, seizing the rare opportunity to experience the magic of student life in one of the most prestigious and inspiring universities in the world.
Oxford Summer School 2020 offers a wide range of courses, during which students will explore and discuss their chosen subjects in great detail. Summer courses are available in a variety of arts and STEM subject areas, including Medicine, Architecture, Law, and Computer Science. Places for each course are strictly limited.
Broadening Horizons Program – Ages 16-18 years old
The Broadening Horizons Program is the most popular and beneficial academic program for students aged 16-18 that enhances their knowledge and prepares them for university studies. The program offers a flexible curriculum with more than 30 subject options to choose from and a full activity timetable. It allows students to work on various areas of interest, choosing two morning classes and an afternoon workshop, receiving more than 20 hours of tuition per week.
Morning Subjects take place in small study groups, while Afternoon Workshops are comprised typically of larger groups participating in interactive, practical activities.

City Tour and After-School Activities
A wide range of daily afternoon and evening activities are organized, such as punting on Oxford’s rivers, college and museum tours, and themed parties. Students will enjoy the full extra-curricular timetable for which Oxford Royale has become internationally famous, including dance workshops, tours of Oxford and its museums, themed parties, excursions to sites of interest around the UK and much more.
Through both organized trips to key landmarks and free time in the evenings, students will become acquainted with all that Oxford has to offer. Students will be visiting some of the UK’s top tourist locations.

Accommodation
Students are accommodated in comfortable single or twin rooms, depending on their allocated college. Twin rooms are strictly shared by students of the same gender, and males/females are separated by corridor and/or staircase. This type of accommodation is standard for undergraduates studying at the university, so students are able to get a taste of what being an Oxford student might be like. Bathrooms are typically shared between groups of students of the same gender; however, in some cases en-suite facilities are available.
Eligibility & pre-requisites
Students in this course: Must conform to the age policy; Must be fluent or near-fluent English language speakers; Must be able to fulfill the basic requirements of the program, in terms of attendance at lessons, meals and events; Should check the prerequisites of each option they select before enrolling, to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge to benefit from the subject matter discussed in the classes.
