Experience fascinating outdoor adventures and get a taste of elite camping in the heart of South Florida, just a few miles north of Miami. Spend summer break experiencing new adventures and cultivating friendships and memories that last a lifetime.

The camp is located in the city of Coconut Creek, just outside of Boca Raton, on the grounds of North Broward Preparatory School. The campus spans an area of 80 acres and features the brand-new, 22-million-dollar International Village where students can access a wide variety of state-of-the-art amenities to satisfy their needs.

ELI’s Academic and Adventure Programs

ELI is one of the most widely recognized outdoor education providers in Florida, known for its unique learning model based on education through adventure. The programs are created to develop campers’ independence, self-advocacy, and resilience, all while providing them the best sources of entertainment. ELI specializes in academic programs based in educational activity courses, the most popular of which is the Global Leadership Program.

Egida offers two programs at ELI – 1. Academics & adventure camp, and 2. Full adventure camp. Through educational courses preparing them for global leadership, campers will build self-confidence and cultivate creative and critical problem-solving skills. With a focus on the development of social-emotional and physical well-being, ELI campers will grow as global community members and leaders. Perhaps most importantly, they will also establish meaningful friendships and create memories to last a lifetime.

Academics & adventure camp offers courses on Cultural Intelligence and Communication Strategies as well as Critical and Design Thinking, skills which are necessary for today’s modern, global society. Apart from the academic courses included in the program, students may also take extra courses and trainings such as personalized Content Area Tutoring, Exam Preparation, and International Baccalaureate Support for an extra fee. Students will receive a maximum of 15 hours of instruction per week in classrooms of 12 to 15 students.

The second, Full adventure camp, gives campers maximum time for sports and outdoor activities. All sports are adjusted to accommodate all skill levels. The sports programs are led by Athletic Directors who teach skills, run drills, and coach the campers. Campers play with their teams during the Sports Leagues. This camp fosters social-emotional skills important for athletes such as sportsmanship, teamwork, and participation. The most popular sports and physical activities are Flag Football, Soccer, Kickball, Capture the Flag, Dodgeball, Gaga, Lacrosse, Field Hockey, Whiffle Ball, Pillow Polo, Basketball, Team Handball, Softball, and Batting Cages.

After School and Sports Activities

The program includes plenty of fun-packed evening activities (karaoke, disco, quizzes, movie night, campfires, etc.) through which children socialize across teams.

In addition to all daily and evening activities, campers are taken on several excursions. The excursions differ depending on program length, and include visits to the beach, Disney World, Universal Studios, water parks, or Boomers.
