Egida International is pleased to continue a long tradition of successful collaboration with PGL Travel and offer summer camps at one of the most pleasant and safe areas in the UK for students — Liddington.
Set in a Wiltshire countryside most famously known for ancient landmarks such as Stonehenge and Avebury stone circles, Liddington is a popular rural area with plenty of open space. Liddington features a pleasant atmosphere where children can learn while feeling at ease.
The Liddington campus is PGL’s the most modern center, offering over 20 different activities and 150 acres of grounds. It has landscaped lakes for water-based activities, a floodlit all-weather sports pitch, and 11 full size football pitches.
Liddington offers many extracurricular adventures. Camp grounds feature climbing and abseil towers, ziplines, a giant swing, challenge courses, trapezes, and an archery range. Students at this camp create memories inside and outside the classroom that they will never forget.
PGL
PGL is the UK’s leading outdoor education provider, delivering inspirational learning through adventure. They specialize in educational activity courses, school trips, French language courses, summer camps, and ski trips, with centers in the both the UK and France. Since 1957 PGL has grown considerably, continually developing and investing in all aspects of its programs, from outdoor activities to student accommodations and services.
PGL manages 15 purpose-built residential centers in the UK. All centers and activities are inspected and approved by the British Activity Providers Association, an industry body that sets the standards for quality, safety and value of the programs. All English Language teaching staff are CELTA (or equivalent) qualified. All centers operated by PGL provide a safe and secure environment and are only open to PGL guests.
Outdoor Adventure Course
In Liddington, children feel at home while PGL’s outdoor adventure courses helps them create lifetime memories. Come take part in our most recreational program in the most modern of PGL’s learning centers!
Activities on land and water are designed to build confidence, increase motivation, and encourage development. Daily activities are varied and include abseiling, aero ball, archery, buggy building, canoeing, challenge courses, climbing, crate challenges, fencing, giant swings, nature trails, problem solving, raft building, sensory trails, sports and team games, survivor, trapeze trails, treetop trail vertical challenges, and ziplines.
City Tour and After-School Activities
Recreational activities are team-centered and offer students the opportunity to build confidence and acquire leadership skills in a fun and relaxing environment. Each day’s recreational activity is split into two 1.5 hour blocks. However, the fun doesn’t stop when these activities are done!
The program also offers fun-packed evening activities (karaoke, disco, quizzes, movie night, campfires, etc.) through which students socialize with other teams and with British children who also participate in the camp.

Accommodations
The PGL center in Liddington offers up-to-date and comfortable accommodations. Students stay in one of three locations within the Center: the main building, built around spacious outdoor courtyards, modern King Edward’s House, or in the newer “Ridgeway.” All bedroom suites in the main building sleep three to six students, four to six in The Ridgeway, or two to six in King Edward’s House.
Facilities
The fantastic sports and activity complex offers even more great activities both indoors and outdoors. Students enjoy time in the common room, floodlit sports pitch, football pitches, gym, lakes, lecture theatres, meeting rooms, netball courts, shops and so on.
Diet
The PGL program balances fun and nutrition, with the goal of inspiring children to lead healthier lifestyles that include a tasty, balanced diet. The school works closely with leading catering organizations to ensure top-quality taste and nutritional content so that students can refuel after a busy day.
The students are offered a range of food options to suit all appetites. The buffet-style dining room means that children can ‘mix and match,’ including unlimited access to the salad bar. Group leaders are on hand to help students find options that fit their dietary needs.
Allergies, intolerances, and other dietary restrictions
A vegetarian alternative can always be provided, and PGL is able to accommodate most special diets required on medical or religious grounds.
Staying hydrated
Water, juice, tea, and coffee are available with all meals. Children are encouraged to refill their water bottles for regular use at water fountains available around the center.
Tuition fee includes:
- Group Leader/teacher will accompany students throughout the trip

- Three full-day and three half-day excursions during the two-week program guided by PGL staff (visit to London, Oxford, Bath, Windsor…)
