Oxford gained its reputation as home to the world’s second-oldest university in continuous operation. Be one of the students who stride across the halls, classrooms, and amphitheaters in which 28 British Prime Ministers, 55 Nobel Prize winners, and 120 Olympic medal winners received their education. You may even recognize parts of Oxford which are featured in Harry Potter movies.

With its medieval chapels and cloisters, world-class museums and galleries, and charming markets and quaint English pubs amongst cobbled streets, Oxford stands out as a unique city where visitors enjoy a city which integrates the old with the new.

Oxford Royale Academy

Oxford Royale Academy is one of the UK’s leading providers of international summer schools and year-round university preparation programs.

Each summer, motivated students from across the globe join the award-winning Oxford Royale Summer Schools, seizing a rare opportunity to experience the magic of student life in one of the most prestigious and inspiring universities in the world.

Oxford Summer School 2020 offers a wide variety of subject areas, from STEM courses such as Medicine, Architecture, Law, and Computer Science to the arts. Space is limited for each course.

New Perspectives, ages 13-15

New Perspectives is the most versatile and customizable program for ages 13-15. The program is designed to give students the opportunity to focus on subjects they are interested in or to learn something completely new. Students have the chance to make their own course combinations from a total of 17 subjects. Morning lessons and practical afternoon workshops allow students a full range of options to explore for their future studies.

City tour and after school activities

Students will enjoy the full extra-curricular timetable for which Oxford Royale has become internationally famous, including dance workshops, tours of Oxford and its museums, themed parties, punting on Oxford’s rivers, excursions to sites of interest around the UK, and much more.

Through landmark excursions and free time in the evenings, students will become acquainted with all that Oxford has to offer. Students will be visiting some of the UK’s top tourist locations (i.e., Blenheim Palace, Cotswold Wildlife Park, and the Tower of London in the previous period).

Accommodations

Students reside in comfortable single or twin rooms and utilize en-suite or shared bathrooms. This type of accommodation is standard for undergraduates studying at the university, so ORA students get a taste of university life at Oxford.

Eligibility & pre-requisites

-Must meet age requirements

-Must be fluent or near-fluent English language speakers

-Must be able to complete the basic program requirements (i.e., attendance, assignments), though students should check the prerequisites of each course option before enrolling

Tuition fee includes:

  • Group Leader/teacher will accompany students throughout the trip
  • 20+ hours of minimum tuition/week
  • Cultural program
  • Residential accommodation
  • Full board
  • Graduation, report cards, and certificate

 Tuition fee does not include: airfare; travel and health insurance; miscellaneous expenses.
