Located at an altitude of 1200 meters above sea level, Leysin boasts an amazing panoramic view over the distant French Alps and Rhone Valley. With a favorable geographic location in the heart of nature, Leysin is the perfect place for children’s summer camps. Students enjoy the spectacular surroundings while attending activities such as treasure hunts, visits to a farm or even a chocolate factory.
Leysin offers plenty of open-countryside exercise with around 200 miles of hiking trails and mountain and bike tours. Some of the various excursions include the Lower Valais, the medieval castle of Aigle and the Wine Museum, the Salt mines of Bex, Swiss Vapeur Parc at Le Bouveret and the Aquaparc, and a Lake Geneva cruise.
About Camp in Leysin
Egida is pleased to have the opportunity to collaborate with an institution that has 48 years of experience in organizing exceptional residential camps for young students. The camp in Leysin has a large selection of fun-packed outdoor adventures, sports, language studies, arts, science, and award-winning Leadership Training courses.
Students will have time to enjoy the pure mountain air and the natural environment of this alpine paradise, complete with its meadows, forests, and wildlife. Some excursion highlights include a hike where campers taste homemade cheese and ice cream, a tour of the beautiful Lac Léman, and the great international city of Geneva.
Sports Summer Camp
This program is designed for campers who would like to focus on sports. The course objective is to introduce students to new sports, as well as to encourage them to further develop existing skills in both team and individual sports.
This busy program is ideal for the active, sports-centered camper who would enjoy a new sport practice session for three hours every weekday morning. The daily schedule includes both team and individual sports such as football, basketball, swimming, archery, beach volleyball, climbing, street hockey, tennis, badminton, and fitness trails.
Students will also participate in team games, challenges, and competitions. Friendly competition makes for a exciting, action-packed program where every camper has fun while learning under the guidance of an enthusiastic and talented team of counselors and coaches.
City Tour and After-School Activities
In the afternoons and evenings, campers enjoy an exciting range of activities. Highlights include archery, tennis, hikes, mountain-climbing and beach volleyball in the afternoons, and team competitions, International Cuisine Night and Talent Shows in the evenings.
Other evening activities include: Village Outings • Treasure Hunt • Camp Olympics • Carnival Night • Sports Night • Ice Skating • Discos and Talent Night • International Cuisine Night • Final evening Awards and Farewell Prom Night • Team-building challenges
The final evening will close the week in style, when campers partake in a fancy dinner, after which they have an awards ceremony, fun performances, and a prom-style disco.
On all excursions, students have free time for cultural visits, shopping and walking around in small groups. On visits to places of interest, admission fees are included. Excursion options for Saturday are: Cailler – Chocolate Factory and Lausanne, The Montreux Jazz Festival (15+ years old), Olympic Museum & Lausanne, Labyrinth Adventure Park and Vevey, or Geneva – United Nations. Sunday will include an excursion to the Aigle Outdoor Water Park.

Accommodation
The centre has spacious, mainly en-suite bedrooms for 3-4 campers, lounges, and playing areas, as well as impressive dining facilities. The campus is situated just above the main village and is close to its excellent sport and leisure facilities.
Campers are assigned to rooms according to age and gender, and experienced counsellors are responsible for taking special care of each and every child.
